6 DISCLOSURES AND BARRING SERVICE (DBS)
This report updates members on a recent decision taken by Somerset County Council regarding DBS checks for elected members and asks the Standards Committee to consider the need for similar approach at Mendip District Council.
7 R (HARVEY) V LEDBURY TOWN COUNCIL
To provide an update to the Standards Committee on a recent High Court decision which sets out how a council should handle a complaint against a councillor.
8 PROBITY IN PLANNING
Members have requested some guidance in respect of probity in planning decisions and the role of elected members acting as planning agents.
9 UPDATES TO THE CONSTITUTION
The report sets out amendments to specific elements of the Council's Constitution which have been made with delegated powers by the Monitoring Officer since the Constitution was last approved by full Council.
10 UPDATE ON DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
A verbal update will be given setting out the current situation and number of non-returns from District and Parish Councillors.
