Entries for the 2019 Mendip Business Awards are now open!

Local business owners can enter their business into one of 11 categories to be in with a chance of winning at the fifth annual Mendip Business Awards. The winners will be announced during the evening celebrations at the Royal Bath & West Showground on Thursday 30 May.

The awards are held to recognise and celebrate some of the 5755 independent and vibrant businesses based in Mendip

Cllr Tom Killen, Deputy Leader of Mendip District Council, said: "Now in the fifth year, the Mendip Business Awards demonstrate the wealth of local talent in our business community. We are proud to deliver the awards, giving organisations across the district a chance to showcase excellence.

"It's great to see organisations of all sizes enter the awards, but in particular we are always keen to hear from smaller businesses who often do not get the recognition which they deserve."

The Customer Service Excellence Award 2018 went to Jungle Properties. Here's what they said about their experience of the awards: 'For Jungle Property we want to deliver the very best customer experience so entering the Mendip Business Awards Customer Service Excellence category was a golden opportunity to pitch ourselves against the very best businesses in the area regardless of what sector they operate in. The short-listed businesses provided us with insight and inspiration for ideas we can use to improve what we already do and winning the award gave us a clear indication and confidence that what we are doing is in line with our vision and gives would-be clients confidence in our brand'.

This year's sponsors are Clarks Village, The Royal Bath & West Show and Mendip District Council. The awards are in partnership with many local food and drink specialists around the district including Brothers Drinks, Wild Beer Co., Barbers Farmhouse Cheese and Lilley's Cider.
