Community Governance Reviews
Mendip District Council is undertaking community governance reviews of the parish arrangements for Cranmore and for Street.
The Community Governance reviews will consider whether the existing arrangements are reflective of the identities and interests of the community in that area; and effective and convenient to the local communities. It will also take into account the impact of community governance arrangements on community cohesion; and the size, population and boundaries of the parishes.
The reviews are being carried out in response to requests from Cranmore Parish Council and Street Parish Council to increase their number of councillors.
