Representations on the Main Modifications and the Council's response
Following the deadline for responses on 4th August the Council have now published a summary of all the representations received along with its response. These have been forwarded to the Local Plan Inspector for his consideration in drafting his final report. The documents can be viewed on the Modifications page.
Consultation on Post-Hearing Main Modifications

Following the examination hearings and receipt of the Inspector's Initial Recommendations, the Council consulted on Main Modifications to the Local Plan Part I which closed on Monday 4th August.

Inspector's Initial Recommendations Received
The Inspector has now issued his Initial Recommendations on the soundness of the draft Local Plan - see Examination document.
The Inspector has confirmed he is content for the recent main modifications (ED/74 and ED/74a) and those in the earlier schedule (ED/4) to be published for consultation. In addition the Inspector recommends three further main modifications be consulted on (and, where appropriate Sustainability Appraisal be carried out).
The Council is considering the Inspector's advice and further information on proposed Modifications will appear here shortly.
The draft Local Plan Part I was submitted on 9th December 2013.
The Secretary of State appointed Mr Robert Yuille MSc DipTP MRTPI, of the Planning Inspectorate, to conduct the Examination into the compliance and soundness of the Local Plan Part I.
The Public Examination hearings closed on the 14th April.
