Preparing for Brexit

On 23 June 2016 the decision was taken to leave the European Union (EU). On this page you will find information on the steps we will be taking to prepare for Brexit, as well as guidance on steps you can make ahead of the proposed exit day.

As we get more information about whether the UK will secure a deal, extend the transition period or enter into a no-deal scenario, we will continue to adapt our service and planning processes, and update this page in due course.

I am a UK national living in the EU

The Government has offered this guidance for UK nationals living in a country that is part of the EU.

I am an EU citizen living in the UK

If you are an EU citizen and plan to continue living in the UK after it leaves the EU, visit the Government website for information and guidance.

I want to help a vulnerable EU citizen to make an application to remain in the UK after it leaves the EU.

If the person is unable to access the Government website, and also falls within the definition of vulnerable, the organisation Diversity Voice can offer support with completing the on-line application process form.  Diversity Choice has received a central government grant to assist individuals who fall into these categories.
