Elections across the South West Region are taking place on the 23rd May 2019. Results will be announced after 10pm on Sunday when all Elections have closed across Europe.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council are the Regional Returning Officer for the South West Region in the European Parliamentary Election.

Key dates for the EU Election on May, 23rd 2019:

  • Register to vote deadline - Tuesday, 7th of May 2019
  • Postal deadline - 5pm, Wednesday, 8th of May 2019
  • Proxy deadline - 5pm, Wednesday, 15th of May 2019
     

European Union citizens living in Mendip can only vote if they complete and send back the required European Parliament Voter Registration form.  If European Union citizens have registered and received a poll card for the local May Elections, they do not need to register again for the European Parliamentary Elections.  We have sent the European Parliament Voter Registration forms to all eligible electors in the Mendip area over the last two days.  To vote in Mendip, we must receive the completed form back by Tuesday, 7th of May 2019.
