The Pre-submission Local Plan Part II was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for examination on 23rd January 2019.
Mike Fox BA (Hons) DIPTP MRTPI has been appointed as the Inspector to undertake an examination into the soundness of the Local Plan Part II. Soundness is tested against the criteria and policies in National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). In the case of Local Plan Part II, this will be March 2012 NPPF and not the revised NPPF published in July 2018. The Inspector cannot be contacted directly by the Council or any other parties. All enquiries and requests relating to the examination must go through the Programme Officer.
The Council have appointed Robert Young as Programme Officer to assist the Inspector through the examination process. Mr Young is independent of the Council and responsible for all procedural matters relating to the examination. Examination Hearings took place from Tuesday 23rd July to Friday 2nd August 2019. Hearing statements and other documents submitted to the examination are listed below. The agenda for hearing sessions and participants can be found here
Additional Statements and Notes
The Inspector has requested the Council and other parties provide additional statements and notes in response to documents ED11 and ED11A - ED11E. No additional documents can now be submitted unless requested by the Inspector. The Inspector has indicated a provisional timetable towards receipt of a final report in December.
Tuesday 12th March - Start of Council's 6 week consultation on Proposed Changes;
Friday 29th March - Deadline for representation to contact Programme Officer on whether they wish to take part in examination and raising any other matters;
Wednesday 24th April - Six week consultation on Proposed Changes closes and responses passed to Inspector;
Friday 17th May - 12 noon - Deadline for Representation Statements / Further written representations;
Monday 24th June 5pm - Deadline for Hearing Statements/Further Written Representations on Proposed Changes*
Monday 24th June - Deadline for additional requests to participate in hearings*
Tuesday 23rd July - Examination Hearings Open at 10am;
Friday 2nd August - Examination Hearings Close;
