Food Hygiene Training
The law requires food handlers to receive appropriate training in food hygiene matters. As a minimum staff overseeing the running of the business, those supervising others and staff left on their own must undertake Level 2 Food Hygiene Training.
Ensure that you keep training records/certificates for all staff.
Mendip District Council Courses:
Mendip District Council is not currently running any training courses.
Other training providers:
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Course finder offers routes to training in the UK for food safety. For more information visit the CIEH Course Finder web site.
There are a variety of on line training courses available. These are great if you have already undergone level 2 training and need a refresher course. We would always recommend that you choose an online course where a tutor is available by telephone so that you can raise any questions you might have.
